Dear Slade,

Please refer to your letter of the 10th sonoeraing applications for chattels granta from kir. A. Allison and Mr. R. Ogden in respect of war losses in Hong Kong.

#eave little information in the Colonial Office of these persons but from what we do know we are đɔubtful whether the Government of Hong Kong will be able to help.

As you will have seen from my letter of the 10th August, about ir. G.F. Bird, Hong Kong has received appeals for assistance in most necessit ous” onses, but unless the individual qualified for assistanse from the Hong Kong far Mesorial Fund, the Government of that Colony has not been able to help.

So far as our information gose Mr. Allison does not appear to qualify as he does not seen to have been
